The new Afinia FP-230 Flex Pack Press has transformed the production of packaging rolls. Its compact design and user-friendly operation make it easy to create high-quality, full-color flexible packaging effortlessly. Perfect for small to medium runs and accommodating varying data or designs, the FP-230 is an innovative solution that unlocks limitless possibilities—all done on-site and on-demand.

The FP-230 employs the L901 Plus printer to create vibrant, full-color prints on rolls up to 230 mm (9") wide, achieving speeds of up to 18 m/min (60'/min). Variable data and color matching are effortlessly managed with the optional Northstar RIP. The water-based inks are approved for food packaging when paired with the in-line cold lamination, and the finished roll is trimmed to the ideal width using two rotary knives.

Sihl’s ARTYSIO range of high-performance packaging films is specially optimized for the FP-230. These films offer robust functional barriers and sealing capabilities, making them ideal for a variety of demanding applications, including cosmetics, supplements, pharmaceuticals, liquids, and food products.

The FP-230 facilitates "just in time" roll production, eliminating the need to maintain inventory of pre-printed rolls. Compared to traditional production methods like Flexo and Roto, it significantly reduces plastic waste by using only 2.5 m (8.2') of film for job setup. Additionally, Sihl’s ARTYSIO PP films are independently certified as "made for recycling," enhancing sustainability. In-house production of flexible packaging is now a viable option, and with the Afinia Label FP-230, it’s fast, affordable, and straightforward.
