HID Global’s One-Time-Password (OTP) Hardware Tokens generate random passwords that cannot be re-used. End-users gain access to resources by providing something they have (i.e., the OTP generated by the token) and a "secret" they know (a PIN number). Combining these two components provides stronger security that a static password while being extremely simple to use.

HID’s OTP Tokens are the preferred form factor for many organizations that seek to increase security for their mobile workforce while optimizing the user experience. Using an OTP Token adds another security layer to environments where users access remote networks via a virtual private network (VPN).

The HID OTP Tokens are compatible with any Open Authentication (OATH) standard based authentication including Microsoft Azure AD MFA. The HID OTP Hardware Token family includes a diverse selection and are customizable to fulfill varying needs.
