The SK5-31 kiosk printer stands out in its class with a max print speed of 250mm/s and a resolution of 203dpi, ensuring fast, high-quality prints. It boasts an anti-paper jam function that detects blockages and halts the printing process, helping to prevent jams. Once the obstruction is removed, the printer automatically resumes printing, assuring smooth operation even in high-volume printing environments.

Another distinguishing feature of the SK5-31 is the paper eject assistance function. This allows the ticket to be printed in its entirety before it’s ejected from the printer, preventing paper from being pulled out prematurely. A unique inner paper looping mechanism aids in the anti-paper jam and paper eject assistance functions. A distinctive cover open design simplifies the recovery process from any paper jams if any do occur.

The SK5-31 kiosk printer offers extensive flexibility. Its adjustable paper guide and holder can accommodate paper widths ranging from 54mm to 82.5mm. The single paper arm holder is also adjustable. Six paper roll positions are available on both the left and right sides of the printer, for a stunning 12 total paper holder positions.

Star Micronics has equipped the SK5-31 with StarPRNT and optional ESC/POS™ emulation for effortless integration into existing systems. The innovative printer supports a wide array of media, including receipt printing, traditional black mark labels, and black mark tickets.
