Zebra is announcing the Evolve Connector for the WS50 Android Wearable Computer. Through a partnership with StayLinked, the WS50 can now seamlessly operate as a wireless peripheral scanner. Many warehouse operations today leverage combinations of vehicle mounted, hand-held, and wrist mounted mobile computers paired with Bluetooth peripheral scanners. They envision a future migration to the WS50 as the primary device their workers will interact with in some use cases but may not be ready to implement this now. By enabling the WS50 as a Bluetooth peripheral scanner, customers are provided with an upgrade path from a simple peripheral scanning solution to a fully functional Android mobile computer when they are ready.
